Everything added, improved or fixed in RinkLog, week by week. Written from the point of view of what you can now do, not of what changed in the code.
A goal marker is now a RinkLog token with its own animated halo, and it scales with the map instead of staying tiny.
The goal map and the net placement map now offer two readings: one dot per goal, or heat zones. Dots answer "where did he score", zones answer "where does he score most".
Games sitting in the calendar no longer count as games played. If you import your league calendar, your counter was showing the whole season in advance; it now shows what was actually played, and your per game averages finally divide by the right number.
The player page now shows how many imported games are still ahead. The count goes down on its own as games get played.
A reminder before every game, adjustable in My account. You pick the lead time, from 15 minutes to 3 hours, and the notification fires from your device even with no network, which is exactly the situation inside an arena.
This page. Every addition, improvement and fix is recorded here, week by week, as it ships.
Zone percentages now describe the dots shown right next to them, and they add up to exactly 100.
The heat map finally measures density. Every shot was painted across the full color scale, including a lone shot with no neighbors: one isolated shot looked as hot as a cluster of six. The scale is now fixed, so two players can be compared.
The equipment part that made the save is now a RinkBuddy option: blocker, glove, pad, stick or body. The goalie is clickable right on his own silhouette.
On the goalie board, the Save button asks for the shot type right on the button, then the equipment part. A save is logged in one chained gesture instead of three screens.
The consent banner now covers every page, including the trial page, and no measurement tool loads before you answer. The privacy policy has been rewritten accordingly.
An optional promo code field at signup, for anyone arriving with a team or tournament code.
The charts in the Periods and Duels sections are now configurable: you pick which ones you see and in what order.
End of period is logged right on the board, with a frozen clock and an intermission screen. The goalie board too.
A Per period section. Every existing section also gains a Total or Per period switch, to see whether your player starts strong or finishes strong.
A Duels section: penalty shots and shootouts get their own stats, kept apart from the rest. Two or three taps are enough to log one.
Subscription emails now take your plan colors, and the benefits list has been brought up to date.
A full video tutorial at the top of the guide, walking through a game from start to finish.
Your language is remembered on your account, not just in this browser. It follows you from one device to the next.
Age groups U7 through U18 year by year, plus the CC, D1R, D2R and D4 classes. The level shows before the team name and can be changed on an existing team.
A player can belong to several teams in the same season, and you pick the team when a game starts. Level, season and game type become filters you can cross on all of his stats.
The tournaments page has been reworked: fuller filters, an intro video and a zoomed out map. Past editions are listed separately.
Even strength, power play and penalty kill can no longer be confused: the power play turns cyan, the situation is picked from a wheel, and a timed banner stays visible for as long as it lasts.
The board main button spells out its action instead of leaving you to guess it.
The free plan has been rethought: it now limits how DEEP you can analyze, never what you can log. You record everything you want during the game, and locked sections show your own real data behind a veil rather than a made up example.
A training session you check off writes itself into your calendar.
A Training section, with full programs in French and English, per player tracking and animated sketches for every drill. Programs are printable.
A full calendar guide, so you can import your league feed or sync with Google Calendar without guessing.
The update overlay has been redrawn: a halo, cascading pucks and a progress bar that names the step and the percentage, instead of a frozen screen.
A mini calendar inside the player page, in week or month view, with smooth month changes.
A PDF button on the Ice time section, to export the charts as a printable page.
Tournament organizers can request Player of the game cards directly online.
A full Ice time section: six charts for a skater, two for a goalie, a game by game log with power play and penalty kill shifts, and a block in the post game summary.
An age group comparison table in the Academy, to find your way between U7, U11, Novice, Atom and their equivalents elsewhere.
The site mockups now show the app inside a real phone frame, at a fixed size.
The App Store rating now shows on six pages of the site, and every article has its own share image.
The calendar, in full. Import your league iCal feed in one click, write straight into Google Calendar, create an event by dragging a type onto a date, and move it with the mouse. Games, practices, tournaments, tryouts, sharpenings and appointments each get their own color.
The RinkLog icon now appears in the notification status bar, instead of Android's generic info dot.
An event reminder now names its type and the player it concerns, instead of a generic line.
A frosted world map of tournaments that frames itself on whatever is shown, pinches to zoom, and opens a tournament page when you tap a marker.
When a sync fails, the error is readable and the source is named. You can trigger the sync again by hand without waiting.
An Articles section on the public site, with its RSS feed and share images.
The RinkBuddy has been fully redrawn for the phone, and the five button styles can now be seen in the plans, the guide and the demo before you pick one.
Three exclusive board button styles: electric, liquid glass and steel. You pick them in the RinkBuddy and they apply to your board in a real game. The classic style stays open to everyone.
Your privacy choice
Always on: what makes RinkLog work, namely your login session, your language and your display preferences. RinkLog cannot run without them.
Your choice: the usage statistics that tell us which features actually get used, and the Meta, Reddit and TikTok advertising pixels on our marketing pages. No player data ever goes into either, and nothing is sold.
