Why track blue-line passes in ringette?

In ringette, a player cannot carry the ring across the blue line: it must be passed to a teammate on the other side. This mandatory pass happens dozens of times a game and decides every transition. Its completion rate is the sport’s most specific and most telling statistic.

Formula

Completion % = completed blue-line passes ÷ (completed + missed) × 100

Example

A player completes 14 blue-line passes and misses 4: 14 ÷ 18 = 78%. Tracked game after game, that curve shows transition-game progress better than any point total.

Almost nobody measures it because generic tools do not know it exists. RinkLog gives it two dedicated buttons (completed, missed) and computes the percentage per game and per season, making it one of the only tools anywhere that tracks this statistic properly.

RinkLog measures and computes this statistic automatically during your hockey, ball hockey and ringette games.
